Campers

Jake took the kids to Target and they got to pick out sleeping bags and water bottles. They were so excited, they insisted on sleeping in their new bags in bed. They were ready to head to Warren Dunes for a night or two in the great outdoors.

Jake packed up the van and they left around 1:00 p.m. By 6:00 they had set up camp and had eaten dinner. As it got darker, they ran around with glow sticks and had a great time. The darker it got outside, the closer Josie stuck to Jake. And then she freaked. They were home at 10:30 p.m. Poor Josie was terrified of the dark and was not going to calm down until they left. Poor Rambler was having a great time and freaked out that they weren't going to stay. Poor Jake had to deal with them and drive all the way home. And that was the camping adventure.

Joan was in town for a few days. It was great to see her! And she and Jake did tons of work in the backyard. Pictures to come. Of course, the kids loved seeing her and playing and listening to stories and singing.

Jake is now driving up with Joan to see Roy and Gus in Duluth. He should be home on Saturday.
